The Role Mission

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Engineer to drive forward and enhance our products and systems. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, has extensive experience with startups or startup-like cultures, and accustomed to and thrives in a very high paced environment. The candidate has a strong vision for best-in-class software architecture and security, as well as strong commitment to quality and engineering best practices. We’re looking for engineers who like working in small teams where everyone matters. The candidate will be afforded broad autonomy and play a crucial role in both maintaining our current platforms while shaping the future vision rooted in latest and greatest technologies.

• Design, build and release new product features on time and with high quality. 
• Work directly with Product and other business functions to advance their understanding of existing systems and technical feasibility of new features. 
• Meaningfully contribute impact the overall technology strategy through active contributions to architecture, best practices, tooling and culture  
• Deliver measurable business value through identifying and implementing novel business solutions and opportunities using technology

Qualifications

• 7+ years of engineering experience, 3+ years of full stack
• Demonstrated track record of delivering solutions and value in early stage startups and ability to create structure and drive results in highly dynamic environments
• Demonstrated passion and results for driving technical excellence at multiple jobs over the years
• Demonstrated track record of improving team capabilities and creating business impact 
• Demonstrated passion for and commitment to growth mindset. Reads books and blogs. Continuously learns new technologies and challenges one’s comfort zone. 
• Strong passion for everything engineering, specifically complex web based platforms and SaaS APIs.
• Deep expertise with React, JS, Node/Nest.js, Rest, GraphQL, SQL and NoSQL dbs. 
  • Experience with AWS is a plus.
  • Expertise in relevant Figma plugins is a plus
• Ability to shape API contracts from FE perspective. 
• Comprehensive expertise with FE and BE testing and related tooling - unit tests, end to end tests, integration tests, etc. 
• Expertise in FE and BE performance testing and tuning. 
• Strong understanding of QA process, QA needs and dependencies and track record of closely collaborating with QA on establishing / enhancing FE related quality processes and outcomes. 
• Excellent architectural foundation and engineering intuition including but not limited to working understanding of design patterns, UML and industry architecture use cases. 
• Demonstrated track record of being a great team player and making a meaningful positive difference in one’s team performance and colleagues’ career success. 
• Engineering / CS BS degree is a strong plus. 
• Authorized to work in US. Comfortable with being 3 times in the allwhere NYC office.
